I finished quilting my first log cabin quilt. It took some time to cross that design off the bucket list. I already showed you a picture of the quilt top and a video about the quilting. I quilted swirls and two different types of swirly feathers on this one. I used a polyester batting for the first time for my own quilt, and the texture of the quilt feels pretty amazing after quilting. I wonder how that will hold up in the wash. It seems that for now I don't have any projects waiting for quilting. I do have some quilt tops in the making, but they are a long ways away still. Maybe now I can actually finish some Christmas gifts... I went outside to take pics of the quilt. It's already getting dark and the weather is sooo rainy and gray but the quilting shows up pretty well in the pictures. I tried to get at least some fall color in the pictures. The quilt measures about 140*170 cm.
Tausta on tehty palasista. Tähän meni aika monta isompaa palaa varastosta. Tämä on ollut melkoinen varastontyhjennys. Jämäpalasia ja osia vähän isommistakin paloista, mutta ihan kivasti tuli tilaa varastoon.
I made the backing using pieces from my stash. This has been a great stash and scrap busting quilt.
very nice free motion quilting!!
