I finished today the last items on my "must do before Christmas" list. Next deadlines are looming in the middle of January, but there's still plenty of time for that! I busted my stash for christmas(ish) fabrics. I already gifted two potholders without taking pictures, but these ones I remembered to photograph. One is made of leftover squares (8 cm square, I used over 1/4 inch seam allowance to make it a little smaller) and the other one is made loosely following Crazy mom quilts scrap vortex tutorial. I found both bindings in my stash, which was totally awesome and made me finish these on time.
Käytin piparimuotteja apuna tikkauskuvioissa. Taustalle laitoin farkkua. Sitä onkin tullut tuhottua ihan mukavat määrät viime aikoina. Vihdoinkin.
I used cookie cutters to draw the quilting motifs. The backing is denim from old jeans. I've managed to bust also that stash a lot recently. Finally.
Here are my finishes from last night. My daughter picked and arranged the fabrics for the top row and my son for the bottom. The backing is again old denim and quilting is whatever came to my mind. I forgot to take pics of the backs though, and these are already wrapped. These will be gifted to grandmas.
Hyvää Joulua kaikille!
